The 60 m-high IYLO tower is a landmark structure and an integral part of the £3.5 billion 2020 Vision regeneration plan for the London Borough of Croydon.
Situated on an island site, the glass-clad, £50 million IYLO elliptical tower consists of two equal halves that appear to be sliding past each other.
One of the tallest residential structures ever built in Croydon, IYLO features 184 privately owned apartments, including eight penthouses and three duplex penthouses. The two halves that split the building run the full height of the structure and provide space for semi-concealed balconies. The world-class development features a tiled double lobby with a 24-hour security/concierge service and underground parking.
CCL was commissioned to supply the unbonded post-tensioning system and supervise all post-tensioning activities required for the lower floors and the 20-floor tower.
CCL has a long-standing and successful relationship with the main contractor, who commissioned CCL to undertake the post-tensioning for this project, based on its vast experience of high-rise developments across the world.
